Intake Specialist

The role of Intake Specialist will be responsible for guiding veterans through the initial intake process, assessing their needs, and providing them with the information and support they need to begin their claims journey with ForTheVeteran. This is an hourly (up to 40 hours per week), remote position maintaining traditional office hours for Central time zone. Periodic travel, paid by the company, may be required for various trainings or meetings.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Conduct outbound and inbound initial intake calls with disabled veterans to gather relevant information about their medical history, service-connected disabilities, and eligibility for VA benefits.

· Educate veterans on the services and support available through ForTheVeteran.

· Provide compassionate and empathetic support to veterans, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the claims process.

· Collaborate with our team of experts to ensure that veterans receive comprehensive and personalized assistance tailored to their unique needs.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with veterans, ensuring that all necessary information is properly documented.

· Stay informed about changes to VA regulations and policies that may impact veterans' eligibility for benefits and communicate updates to veterans as needed.

· Meet outbound call goals of 200 call points per day (one call point = outbound calls plus minutes of conversation) and qualified client conversion targets of 12 per week.

Qualifications:

· Genuine passion for helping disabled veterans and making a positive impact in their lives.

· Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

· Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with veterans over the phone.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Comfortable working in a fully remote environment, with access to reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

· Knowledge of VA benefits and the claims process is preferred but not required.Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you.
